Hanukkah

Hey Lovelies!

Today, is the start of the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah. The Jewish holiday falls any where from late November to mid December depending on when it falls according to the Gregorian calendar. Hanukkah is also known as the Festival of Lights, which is signified each night by the lighting of the menorah. They celebrate the Festival of Lights for eight days and eight nights.

I also do not want to get any details wrong so I am going to leave it up to the History channel to explain the holiday in a bit more detail. I also encourage everyone to do their own research into the holiday and/or ask a Jewish person directly about their holiday.

Here’s a quick video explaining the history of the holiday:

That’s all I have for you this week everyone! To those of you who may be Jewish I wish you a happy Hanukkah!

Until Thursday!

Cheers,

Danielle
